Wladislaw Solotarjow (1942–1975)

stammt aus dem entfernten nordostasiatischen Magadan, wo er als Sohn russischer Eltern geboren wurde und seine Schulzeit verbrachte sowie seine erste Musikausbildung erhielt.

1968 examinierte er in der Klasse von N. A. Lesnoj (Akkordeon) an der Musikmittelschule in Magadan. Anschließend führten ihn seine Studien nach Moskau: wo er bei Rodion Schtschedrin (1968–69) und Tichon Chrennikow (1971–72) am Moskauer Konservatorium hospitierte, um dann als freischaffender Komponist tätig zu sein.

Solotarjow wird in Rußland als der bedeutendste Wegbereiter der neuen Musikkultur und -kunst auf dem Akkordeon angesehen, wie sie Ende der sechziger, Anfang der siebziger Jahre ihren Weg genommen hat.

Seine Werke wurden zum Bindeglied zwischen der traditionellen (russischen) Volksmusik und der heute verbreiteten, zeitgenössischen Konzertmusik.

Und wenngleich Solotarjow bei weitem nicht nur für das Akkordeon komponiert hat, so galt diesem Instrument doch seine besondere Zuneigung. Entsprechend umfassend ist das Repertoire, das er in seinem nur kurzen Leben für dieses Instrument geschaffen hat. Seine Werke beziehen dabei stets sowohl die Melodiebässe wie auch die Standardbässe mit ein. Während vorangegangene Komponisten wie auch bis in die heutige Zeit nachfolgende die beiden Baßsysteme oft als gegensätzlich angesehen haben, verschmelzen sie bei Solotarjow in unnachahmlicher Weise zu einem Spielwerk.

Seine Kompositionen zeigen stets das Bemühen um klingende Musik. Sie sollte sowohl dem Interpreten wie dem Zuhörer Freude bereiten und ein interessantes Erlebnis sein.

Vladislav Zolotaryov (1942–1975)

was born as a son of Russian parents in the far north-east Asian city of Magadan, where he spent his school and where he received his first musical education.

In 1968 he graduated from the secondary school of music in the class of N. A. Lesnoy (accordion). Later he continued his studies in Moscow, where he attended lectures of Rodion Shchedrin (1968–69) and Tikhon Khrennikov (1971–72) at the Conservatory, and finally he was working as a free lance composer.

In the former Soviet Union and still today Zolotaryov is considered the most outstanding pioneer of the new musical culture and art of playing the accordion, that found its development at the end of the 60’s and during the 70’s.

His compositions became the missing link between traditional (Russian) folk music and contemporary concert music.

Though Zolotaryov by far did not only compose for the accordion, he had his special affection for this instrument. Accordingly, his repertoire for this instrument, which he created in his very short life, is quite extensive.

His compositions always include the stradella basses and the free basses. Whereas early composers as well as later ones, and even the contemporary ones, mostly have considered these bass systems contrary to each other, in Zolotaryov’s works they are combined inimitably in harmony.

His compositions always show the intention for well sounding music. It is supposed to be an interesting event and a pleasure for the performer as well as for the audience.
